Emily Henrigillis has a background in aquatic ecology and taxonomy. She has worked on lakes in Wisconsin since 2011 completing surveys and getting to know the folks around those lakes. Her experience working with shoreline property owners led her down the path of starting The Plant Gal in 2021. Emily helps urban, suburban, and lakeshore property owners improve their landscape for the waters, our pollinators, and the future.
Emily serves on the board of Midwest Aquatic Plant Management Society as their publicity director and Fox Cities Roller Derby as their Business Oversight in addition to serving on the City of De Pere's Sustainability Commission.
